PDF export is built in to every edition of The Print Shop 9 and PrintMaster 2027: nothing extra to install. Professional adds the options a commercial printer asks for.
Save a PDF (all editions)
- Open your project and choose File, then Save As PDF (also under Export on the Home tab).
- In the PDF Options window choose the picture quality.
- Choose a file name and Save. The PDF opens in your viewer. Text stays text, so you can select it.
Fonts are embedded where the font maker allows it; a few fonts cannot be embedded.
Press-ready PDF (Professional)
- Choose File, Save As PDF.
- In the Press-ready PDF group tick Bleed and Crop marks. Choose the highest picture quality for photos.
- Save. Zoom into a corner of the PDF to see the crop marks outside the card edge and the extra border of bleed.
Tell your print shop: bleed is a mirrored bleed (each panel is clipped at its edge, so backgrounds are not extended) and colour is RGB. Ask them what they need before you send the file.

Using the Classic programs?
The Print Shop 24, PrintMaster 19 and Calendar Creator 13 make PDFs too, by different routes: use Print or Save as PDF in each program.
QA before publish: confirm the picture-quality names in the PDF Options window (script PS9-02: the 300 dpi "High" choice was proven only in a harness; Deluxe dialog proven by test hook). Press-ready: PS9-03 limits above (mirrored bleed, RGB). Source: docs blog "Creating a PDF with bleed margins" (2018-04-30) and "Will my PDF have embedded fonts?" (2020-05-10): the old post implied embedded fonts are a Professional matter; the claim check says both editions embed where allowed, so the old wording must not be reused.
